The Sans Souci building (1906) is a 22,000 sf two-story, yellow-brick building which has recently been restored to its historical prominence. For decades it was a retail anchor at the west end of Seventh Avenue in Ybor City. It has been a penny arcade, a barber shop, a telegraph office, the San Souci theater, a Maas Bros. department store and, in its last re-incarnation, a Badcock furniture store which closed in 2004.

Some of the building's original brick and 100-year-old wood were used for the foundation of a rear courtyard, and in lobbies on both floors. An awning was removed, the original façade restored and windows were repaired or replaced. The owners received approval in 2009 from the Barrio Latino Commission, which has oversight for historical renovations in Ybor City. The group also received a $1 million low-interest loan through the city's Historic Preservation Commission.

In 2010 it received a Community Design Award from Hillsborough's City-County Planning Commission.
