Project Architect

Under general supervision, and according to established policy and procedures, provide project management of internal healthcare projects in support of hospital facilities, specifically in the technical areas of healthcare architecture and interior design. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Education: Architecture degree from accredited school. Professional License Required. Experience:  Minimum of five (5) years experience in healthcare field specifically in the technical and professional areas of healthcare design focusing and project management, working under direct supervision of a registered professional. Experience managing healthcare projects of $2 million and greater in construction costs desired. Proficiency required in AutoCAD, Word, Excel and Microsoft Project software.

Salary negotiable and ranges between $52000 - $75000 contingent on education, registered architecture license and experience.

UCF is launching a new Bachelor of Design in Architecture program this year and is seeking a Director and Associate Professor position and also an Assistant Professor position for the 2010 academic year. Working with Valencia Community College and the University of Florida, UCF is adding an architecture degree to its undergraduate program this coming fall. The new program was approved in the November by the UCF Board of Trustees and classes will be held on Valencia Community College West Campus.

UCF invites applications for two new positions in the architecture education field and will be within the UCF’s College of Arts and Humanities. The new program is committed to creating a collaborative interdisciplinary teaching and outreach within a collegial and diverse environment.
