The 13th Annual Healthcare Event - presented by SMPS Tampa Bay and AIA Tampa Bay Academy of Architecture for Health – “Disruption in the Healthcare Industry” will focus on environmental and economic factors disrupting the industry. From powerful storms forcing resiliency to our state's growing population growth and health needs forcing a site of care shift, significant changes are happening and leaders must adapt! Discover how industry leaders are gearing up to face these disruptions and how they plan to adapt to an ever-evolving industry environment. This event will be heldFriday, May 12th at the JCC in Tampa.
HISTORY OF THE EVENT
Since 2010, the Tampa Bay chapters of the American Institute of Architects – Academy of Architecture for Health committee (AIA-AAH) and the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) have held a Healthcare Symposium in Tampa. The event promotes a gathering of local, regional and national health system providers, policy leaders, researchers and futurists to support the educational and virtual networking advancement of healthcare design, construction and allied industry professionals.
Past event topics have focused on healthcare policy, healthcare facility design / research, population health initiatives, lean principles, technology impacting the patient experience, the Well Building movement and the future of medical education in the Tampa Bay region.
Previous systems that have served as panelists / speakers include: Cleveland Clinic, BayCare, Moffitt Cancer Center,AdventHealth, Tampa General Hospital, USF Health, UF Health, Veterans Affairs, Lee Health, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Universal Health System, Kaiser Permanente, Lakeland Regional Medical Center, HCA Healthcare and The Advisory Board.
